As one of the most renowned producers in the dance industry, Hardwell has been on an excellent run for the past couple of years – not only with his music but also in the field of technical innovation. Hardwell was the first electronic artist to host a 360 live stream and to develop his own Facebook Bot, which in turn created a whole new digital experience for his fans.
Now he’s teaming up with ESL Benelux, subsidiary of the world’s largest esports company ESL, for another thrilling collaboration. On March 5th, right before the grand finals of the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive competition at the world-renowned Intel Extreme Masters Katowice World Championship in Poland, Hardwell will be launching his own channel on social video platform Twitch.
Hardwell: “As a major gaming fanatic I’m very excited to go to Katowice and check it out and of course, I can’t wait to go live with my own Twitch channel during the event and share it all with my fans”.
The former 2 x #1 DJ in the world, Hardwell found his fame in the dance music world. As a producer, he’s created some of dance music’s iconic tracks, several of which made it onto his debut artist album ‘United We Are’, which went #2 in the iTunes global album chart. He has worked with the likes of Tiësto, Jason Derulo, Craig David and Jay Sean and remixed songs for artists such as Rihanna, Coldplay and The Chainsmokers. With his United We Are Foundation he wants to “make a social difference” against the lack of education for under privileged children. Recently he unveiled his long-awaited Madam Tussaud’s wax statue in Amsterdam and his photobook “2 Years as One” which were received very well, showing that Hardwell continues to be a true innovator.
