Electric Daisy Carnival (Las Vegas)

Electric Daisy Carnival is one of the most successful music festivals in the US. It already held in different parts of the world, but its main event is hosted at Las Vegas, Nevada. Tomorrowland (Belgium)

Tomorrowland has been considered as the biggest EDM festival in the world. It started on 2005 and draws hundreds of thousands of people (almost 400,000) every last weekend of July. The festival takes place at Boom, Antwerp, Belgium. Famous DJs like David Guetta, Afrojack, The Swedish House Mafia, Armin van Buuren, The Chainsmokers, Martin Garrix, Tiësto, Hardwell and so much more, are hosted at the festival every year, and not just once as the festival rolls over the weekend. Well-known international acts are also showcased during the festival.

Each year, the festival takes on a theme and designs the entire event based on that. Tomorrowland has a signature touch of mystery and extravagance in all its themes boasting giant art displays, multiple stages, great lights shows and fireworks. The festival has been awarded Best Music Event multiple times by the International Dance Music Awards and Best Festival by the Red Bull Elektropedia Awards.

Ultra Music Festival (Miami)

The Ultra Music Festival in Miami happens on a weekend in December every year. It started in 1999 and has grown with the EDM genre. There are other Ultra Music Festivals that happen on the different parts of the world but perhaps the most celebrated venue is in Bayfront Park, Miami, Florida. The unique thing about the festival in Miami is how the city’s cultural diversity is showcased. The production includes different elements from the different types of people living in the city. The tickets are said to sell out seconds after being available for buying and the secondhand tickets amounting to more than $200. Burning Man

Burning Man is an annual celebration of artistic self-expression held at Black Rock City. It operates on ten principles with its activities and overall planning aligned with the principles. These principles are radical inclusion, gifting, decommodification, radical self-reliance, radical self-expression, communal effort, civic responsibility, leaving no trace, participation and immediacy.

The history of the event goes back to the founder attending an annual solstice burning of a wooden man as a sign of radical self-expression. Today, the event is attended by 50,000 people every year.

Electronic music has become a vital element in Burning Man since it evokes self-expression. Some of the famous acts that performed at the event are Carl Cox, Armin van Buuren, Diplo, and Skrillex. To avoid getting in the way of the other activities of the event, a special zone in Black Rock City has been established for EDM music lovers to enjoy live DJ performances.


Coachella is an annual festival celebrating both music and arts. It is held at the Coachella Valley, Indio, California. Different genres of music are features during the festival. Nocturnal Wonderland has been around for some time celebrating its 20th anniversary on 2015. It features electronic music, trance, break beat, drum and base, and others. Each genre of music are provided with its own stage. The festival lasts for three days and happens around Labor Day.

Attendees reach up to 50,000 and the artists, an astounding of 60. The different styles of music performed during the festival draw in different types of crowd. Each year, these styles change and the number of stages change with it. Multiple outdoor stages host a wide range of styles from trance to house to hardstyle. Each stage has a different musical and light display.

Creamsfields Festival is a British music festival that started in 1998. It happens on the weekend of August during the Bank Holiday and held at Daresbury, Winchester, Southern England. Famous artists like Calvin Harris, Fatboy Slim, deadmau5, Tiesto, AfroJack, Paul Van Dyk, David Guetta, Chemical Brothers, Dimitri Vegas and so much more have performed at the festival.

The production of the festival particularly how the speakers, the lights, and the stage are arranged, create the best musical experience. The festival has proved that a great clubbing experience can be brought outside in open air.  Creamsfields has grown and reached different parts of the world including, Chile, UAE, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Lebanon, and Lithuania.

Creamsfields has been awarded as the Best Music Festival during the Music Week Awards. The 2016 Creamsfields will have 28 stages and will feature over 200 acts which will include Avicii, Axwell & Ingrosso, DJ EZ, Steve Aoki, and more.

Electric Forest

Electric Forest is a multi-genre music festival that started in 2008. It happens on two weekends and usually during the last week of June and the start of July. The focus of the festival is electronic and jam bands featuring indie artists, as well as international music makers. It is held at the Double JJ Resort in Rothbury, Michigan. The festival draws as much as 45,000 party goers. It was formerly named the Rothbury Festival and was later named Electric Forest on 2011.

The promotion of the festival is largely attributed to the loyal fans and the community in Rothbury. The town receives a share of the earnings per ticket sold. The event is co-produced by Insomniac Events and Madison which are also producers of the famous EDM festivals in America.

The line-up of the festival throughout the years include Diplo, Tiesto, Kaskade, Skrillex, Zedd, Benny Benassi, Krewella, Steve Angello, Cash Cash, Major Lazer, and more.

Sunburn Festival (India)

Goa, India is the home of the Sunburn Festival, which is arguably the hottest music festival in the Caribbean. The beaches offer a laidback and hippie ambiance for all the partygoers. It started on 2008 and has become a major destination for people around the world. Sunburn Festival hosts both chill and energetic electronic music.

The festival traces the roots of Goa as a location for exchange of cultures and a haven for hippies. It happens around the last week of December and the number of attendees reach to 100,000. World renown artists such as Paul Van Dyk, Roger Saches, Sasha, Nadia Alia, and many more have performed at the festival.

Although the festival is located in India, the number of foreigners that attended match the number of Indian party goers, which create a unique party scene. Different nationalities show how they dance to the same EDM beat which is really enjoyable to watch and to be a part of.

Factory 93

EDM has its origins in warehouse parties. The Warehouse District, LA is home to some of the earlier house parties ever hosted. Insomniacs has opened an underground party house in the Warehouse District of Downtown Los Angeles. The CEO of the company has had the chance to be in one of those warehouse parties during the 90’s where you can feel the energy of the party vibrating through the entire structure of the warehouse.

Factory 93 debuted on May 21 featuring some of the freshest artist in the EDM scene. A three-hour set by Hot Since 82 was featured during the opening. Other artists include Santé Sidney Charles. Doc Martin was invited as a special guest.

The people behind Factory 93 were the also the people who cultivated underground EDM during the 90’s. The party house will be dedicated to showcasing and fostering deep house, techno, tech house and the characteristic vibe unique to the warehouse party culture in Los Angeles.
